Executive Presence
One of the top 25 not-for-profit philanthropy services in the United States sought to improve the executive presence of its director. The goal was to ensure the director would be fit to serve as a positive face for the community, and a representative to other national service groups to exchange information and best practices.
Our Solution
Wisconsin MedMark sought to first identify what “executive presence” meant to the leaders involved: the manager, CEO and coachee. After in-depth conversations, we designed a custom 360-degree assessment tool to reflect the values and key deliverables of the organization. We then delivered this survey to help provide practical feedback to the coachee.
After the assessment and a renewed discussion amongst the leadership group, we determined the objectives of the coaching engagement. The Wisconsin MedMark team initiated discussions with the coachee to help change some de-railing behaviors and groom executive presence as requested.
Results
The executive continues to be a visible part of the organization, and has successfully re-adjusted their professional priorities and begun initiating a change processes within the organization. Per our recommendation, the individual is seeking public speaking and best practice sharing opportunities to further their development.
